Nevin G. Alderman is the Owner and Clinical Director of Renew Relationship Counseling; a dynamic and engaging private practice that specializes in relational healing. Nevin is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), and has been practicing on a Master's Level in the field of mental health since 2007. Nevin has experience in numerous facets of mental health counseling, including inpatient acute settings, residential treatment, and community-based services. Nevin has a passion for the field of mental health, and a strong belief in the capacity of couples, families and individuals to grow and overcome life's obstacles.


Nevin has been honored to hold numerous positions wherein he has provided clinical administration, including serving as the Executive Clinical Director at a renowned treatment center for families. In addition to traditional clinical and administrative work, Nevin has been facilitating professional workshops, and multi-systemic groups and seminars since 2008. Nevin has been recognized as an expert presenter both regionally and nationally, and has been invited to instruct professional audiences across the country. He is the founder of the Renew System for Couples; a cutting-edge, dynamic and holistic approach to relational healing.

Continuing Education Information


Intended Audience: Mental Health Counselors, Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Social Workers, Psychologists, and Substance Use Disorder Counselors. The training may also be pertinent to Psychiatric Nurses, Psychiatrists, and other professionals working in the Mental Health industry.

Credits listed are for full completion of the course. No partial credits will be offered. Certificates of Completion are distributed following completion of the training AND successful completion of the training quiz with 80% or better. Certificates will be sent by email within 30 days following course and quiz completion.

Materials that are included in this course may include interventions and modalities that are beyond the authorized practice of your profession. As a licensed professional, you are responsible for reviewing the scope of practice, including activities that are defined in law as beyond the boundaries of practice in accordance with and in compliance with your profession’s standards.

Credit requirements and approvals vary per state board regulations and per participant’s individual licensing requirements. Approval by your state board for continuing education credit is not guaranteed. Participants are responsible to save the course outline and the certificate of completion they receive from the activity, and for contacting their state board or organization to determine eligibility and specific filing requirements.
