The Biology Of ADHD

Participants will better understand the origins of ADHD with review of genetics and other contributors.


Family Intervention

Participants will understand the critical role of family intervention in the treatment of ADHD, especially for children.


The "Spin Cycle"

Participants will understand the “Spin Cycle” in families with ADHD and strategies to help.


Strategies For Treatment

Participants will understand how polyvagal theory and strategies can help parents and caregivers more effectively support children, teens, and young adults with ADHD.

Kjrstin (KJ) has been working in therapeutic settings since 2003, starting at a ropes course, moving to wilderness, then residential treatment, and now currently working in private practice.  She has worked as a front-line staff, wilderness guide, therapist, clinical director, parent coach, and presenter.  KJ is a LMFT and is passionate about providing support to families who are affected by ADHD. Both she and her husband were diagnosed as adults with ADHD, and all 3 of their young daughters have some flavor of it.  When not working, KJ loves to travel, mountain bike, rock climb, build with Lego, and has recently ventured into taking ice baths!
